I was 19 years old when my father tricked me into working with him in December 1987 during my winter break from New Mexico Highland University.

He told me he would pay my car insurance for a month if I would help him answer the phones at the office while he went out and prospected customers.  Little did I know this was going to be my path for the rest of my life.

Unfortunately I lost my father in March of 2006.  I have gone from answering the phones over winter break to owning The Trujillo Agency, LLC.  2011 marks our 23rd anniversary in business.  I am committed to continuing my father’s legacy of excellent customer service and community involvement.

I am a member of the Young Agents Association and am an Accredited Customer Service Representative.

Behind every good man is his wife...

Theresa has been the support and backbone of our family; she supported Tony Sr. in every aspect of his careers, political views, religion, hunting and especially his illness. 

She now serves as The Trujillo Agency’s mentor and supporter.  She helps us prepare for the Fourth of July parades, customer appreciation days and whatever else is needed.  She loves to greet our customers and carry conversations with them.

Romero

Kathy was raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico. 

She served on the Parent Teacher Advisory Board for the Raton Public Schools and was nominated as Staff of the Year by Friends of Sugarite NM State Park.

She moved away for several years and came back home in 2006.  Kathy is a licensed Property & Casualty insurance agent.

Mary Lou was born and raised in Ilfeld, New Mexico. 

She moved to Las Vegas in 1983.  Mary Lou worked with the agency from 1996-2000 under Tony Sr. and has recently returned to us. 

Her commitment to customer service is a great asset and benefit to our customers.

Liz was born and raised in Rociada, New Mexico. 

She has been with The Trujillo Agency since 2004.  Liz is our Customer Service Specialist and also holds a Property & Casualty License. 

Any question you may have, she is the woman to turn to for your answers or to be pointed in the right direction.

The newest member of the team; Christian and her family have been locals for many generations. 

Most of her career has been in public service and has held several elected and appointed positions.  She decided to change careers and go into insurance this year. 

She is a community driven individual and believes customer service is the most important service we can provide our customers.
