About Us
The Trujillo Agency was established November 1997 by the late Tony M. Trujillo Sr. Tony was a native of Las Vegas, graduating from West Las Vegas High School in 1966. He married his loving wife Theresa J. Trujillo and moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he started a career as a meat cutter. By the end of December 1967, Tony and Theresa had two children, Tony Jr. and Michelle. |

Tony had several goals and provided for his family even if it meant working two or three jobs at a time. Tony obtained his license to sell life insurance for extra money for his family and followed his father’s footsteps.
After several years, Tony and his family returned to Las Vegas to pursue a manager’s position at a local insurance agency. He decided expand his insurance knowledge to property and casualty policies as well. By this time, their younger daughter Angela was born. Tony had higher financial goals and decided to open his own independent insurance agency to provide better service to his customers and more security for his family.
Tony always believed in being involved in the community. He was a West Las Vegas School Board Member, Chairman of the JC’s, Chamber of Commerce Member, Hispano Chamber of Commerce Member, Independent Insurance Agents of New Mexico Member, Founder of the Sportsman Concern, Majordomo of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. Tony was an adamant hunter with several trophies and received several awards and recognitions for his service to the community of Las Vegas.
Today we are still an independent insurance agency and are celebrating 23 years of service in the community of Las Vegas. We continue to follow Tony’s philosophy on customer service. “If it’s important to you, it’s important to us.”
We continue to contribute to several local organizations and associations including the 4th of July Fiesta parade and the Somos Familia annual bike-athon. The Trujillo Agency is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of New Mexico, Las Vegas First Independent Business Alliance, San Miguel Chamber of Commerce and Mora Chamber of Commerce.
All of our agents continue to expand their knowledge by participating in continuing education every year.
